‘ESCAPE PLAN’: ARNIE AND SLY AT THE FILM GROUP!
................................................................

High profile films are increasingly bypassing theatrical releases in Australia and going straight to DVD/Blu-Ray due to local distributors finding it difficult to recoup their theatrical release costs.

There are countless examples, but one of the more controversial films to receive this treatment recently was ESCAPE PLAN. The prison break action flick starring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger was originally intended for release here late last year, but was pulled at the last minute for undisclosed reasons, much to the outrage of action fans across the country.

Fortunately, for those wanting to see two action legends team up on the big screen, the ANU Film Group is proudly putting on one of only two theatrical screenings of the film in Canberra! (The other was last week at the NFSA’s Arc Cinema)

ESCAPE PLAN screens on Friday 29 March at 9:45 PM, as the second feature following Formula 1 rivalry drama RUSH.
