Grieving widower Mr. O'Connor (Ciarán Hinds) returns home to Ireland with a poignant mission: to scatter his late wife's ashes across three cherished locations. Lacking standard transport, he embarks on an extraordinarily slow road trip aboard a solar-powered vintage milk float. Along the winding, picturesque roads of Donegal, he faces a comedy of errors including stolen tyres, fickle weather, and bizarre local encounters. Meanwhile, a mysterious French stranger (Olga Kurylenko) relentlessly pursues him in a cramped city car, sparking a game of cat and mouse across the Irish countryside.
Co-directed by John-Paul Davidson and Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Warbeck, this charming Irish comedy reunites the creative duo behind The Man in the Hat. A gentle road movie full of twists and turns, The Three Urns excels with its eccentric humour, glorious cinematography, and a subtly brilliant lead performance from Hinds.
