In a medieval coastal village, a reclusive Fisherwoman (Olivia Colman) grows tired of being ridiculed by her conservative neighbours for her rejection of their rigid social norms. Taking matters into her own hands, she sarcastically commissions a mysterious craftsman (Peter Dinklage) to weave her a husband out of wicker. To her complete shock, the Wicker Husband (Alexander Skarsgård) unexpectedly comes to life, possessing a remarkably soulful spirit, dynamic charm and unexpected tenderness. As their unconventional love story flourishes, his presence sparks a frenzy of jealousy and moral outrage among her fellow villagers, threatening to tear the community apart.

Wicker is without a doubt the kookiest and most whimsical romantic fantasy you'll see this year. Olivia Colman gives it her all and Alexander Skarsgård somehow remains irresistible even under his beautiful wicker suit. You'll never look at wicker furniture the same way again!
