Nick (Jai Courtney) is a wealthy heir whose life spirals after he discovers that his fiancée, Kori (Emily Browning), is cheating on him. Distraught one night, Nick ends up capturing a rogue fox in his backyard. Much to his surprise, the Fox (voiced by Olivia Colman) can talk and offers him a trade-off: if Nick lets her live, she will help him save his relationship. Against his better judgement, Nick accepts the Fox’s deal and Kori suddenly seems to be everything he ever wanted – that is, until her strange new quirks make him question his decision.

A darkly satirical fantasy, The Fox is the twisted brainchild of Australian writer-director Dario Russo and has received rave reviews for its absurd humour and brilliant animatronic puppetry. Undoubtedly one that has to be seen with your own eyes, the film also features Sam Neill in one of his last film roles as the voice of an opinionated magpie.
