Rising Hollywood movie star Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries) sees his promising career shattered after being brutally disfigured in an attack by local mobsters. Obsessed with regaining his former appearance and status, Hagen volunteers for an experimental chemical treatment spearheaded by unorthodox scientist Dr. Caitlyn Corr (Naomi Ackie). But the untested procedure triggers terrifying physical and psychological side effects, painfully mutating his biological structure into a monstrous, shape-shifting entity composed of living clay. As Hagen succumbs to horror and vengeance, police detective John Borrelli (Max Minghella) struggles to comprehend the horrifying threat emerging across Gotham City.

Directed by James Watkins (Speak No Evil) and based on a story conceptualised by horror master Mike Flanagan, this visceral origin story takes a grounded, body-horror approach to the iconic comic book antagonist. Positioned within James Gunn's new DC Universe, Clayface offers a grim, psychological nightmare tailored for genre and comic book enthusiasts alike.
