In the picturesque forests of Italy's Piedmont region, ageing truffle hunter Igor (Umberto Orsini) is struggling with failing health, memory loss, and the looming threat of eviction from his beloved home. When his estranged, London-raised granddaughter Dalia (Ydalie Turk) arrives to look after him, she initially finds herself out of place in the quiet countryside. That is, until Igor embarks on a desperate quest to discover a legendary rare white truffle that could pay off his debts. Joined by Dalia and his faithful canine companion, Birba, the trio navigate the vanishing woodlands and ancient traditions of Alba, forging a heartwarming bond.

Helmed by writer-director Gabriele Fabbro, this evocative Italian drama offers a touching story about intergenerational connection, with a scene-stealing performance from Birba the dog (who made her big screen debut in The Truffle Hunters, the acclaimed 2020 documentary set in the same region).
