PRESENTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE EMBASSY OF MEXICO

In the stark, hyper-masculine world of long-haul trucking, rebellious young drifter Veneno (Víctor Prieto) hustles at roadside diners across northern Mexico to survive. Seeking an escape, Veneno convinces reserved long-haul driver Muñeco (Osvaldo Sánchez) to give him a lift. As the pair navigate endless highways and neon-lit truck stops, an unexpected, tender romance blossoms between the two men. But their fragile sanctuary is threatened when dangerous figures from Veneno's troubled past pursue them, forcing the lovers into an escalating struggle for survival against looming violence.

Directed by David Pablos, this evocative romantic thriller won the prestigious Orizzonti Award for Best Film and the Queer Lion at the Venice International Film Festival. Sweeping Mexico's Ariel Awards for Best Picture and Best Director, the celebrated feature was also chosen as Mexico's official submission for Best International Film at next year's Oscars.
