Grieving the loss of his mother, young schoolboy Brian (Elijah Tamati) becomes convinced she is waiting for him atop a snowy mountain in New Zealand. Fearing his father's new partner Liz (Nathalie Boltt) will replace her, Brian runs away to find her.
