Determined to reconstruct her origins, young orphan Marina (Llúcia Garcia) travels to the coastal city of Vigo to meet her late biological father's estranged family. Guided primarily by her deceased mother's intimate diary entries, Marina tries to bridge the deep divide between herself and her reluctant relatives, including her uncle Lois (Tristan Ulloa). However, her search for connection exposes buried trauma and long-hidden family shames tied to the devastating 1980s heroin epidemic. Documenting every step of her journey on a handheld video camera, the young woman begins uncovering the painful truths of her heritage.

Acclaimed Catalan filmmaker Carla Simón writes and directs this deeply autobiographical Spanish drama, which serves as the final chapter in her thematic family trilogy. The beautifully shot feature made its world premiere in competition for the prestigious Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
