When they are accidentally outed to their close-knit repressed community, two teenagers living in a regional Victorian town are forced to participate in a sinister ritual to purge the boys of their homosexual desires. Shortly afterwards, both boys find themselves stalked by an aggressive, malevolent supernatural force. Shockingly, they discover the terrifying creature insidiously shapeshifts into the likeness of the person each boy secretly desires most: each other.

Writer-director Adrian Chiarella drew on his own personal experiences for this chilling Australian supernatural horror, which made waves following its acclaimed debut at the Sundance Film Festival. Produced by and co-starring Canberra’s own Mia Wasikowska, the atmospheric feature received strong praise from genre critics for ingeniously blending folk horror elements with an emotionally raw queer coming-of-age story.
