Set amidst the frantic grandeur of Paris Fashion Week, this elegant French drama follows three vulnerable women whose lives intersect behind the scenes. Maxine Walker (Angelina Jolie) is an American filmmaker hiding a severe breast cancer diagnosis while racing to deliver a prestigious fashion film. Her path crosses with Ada (Anyier Anei), an inexperienced young model from South Sudan thrust into the global spotlight, and Angèle (Ella Rumpf), a tireless makeup artist harboring secret screenwriting ambitions. Together, they form a quiet, unexpected bond of feminine solidarity.

Writer-director Alice Winocour subverts the superficial glamour of the fashion industry to deliver a deeply touching character study focused on human vulnerability. Angelina Jolie’s emotionally raw lead performance anchors the film, which features exquisite costume designs and exclusive scenes shot inside the historic, highly private Chanel showroom in Paris.

Under the care of Sister Brigid (Jodie Comer), Robin forms a tender bond with an orphaned girl, teaching her how to survive in the wilderness. However, as vengeful figures from his past close in on the sanctuary, the dying folk hero must confront his bloody history to protect his new family.

Filmmaker Michael Sarnoski (Pig) writes and directs this dark reimagining of the classic ballad. Shot on 35mm film across Northern Ireland, the gritty production features supporting performances from Bill Skarsgård alongside fellow Aussie Murray Bartlett working opposite our Hugh.
