Art teacher Matt Taylor (Kevin James) believes he has found his soulmate in fellow teacher Heather (Julie Ann Emery). After a whirlwind romance and a charming proposal, the two fly to Rome for a lavish destination wedding. However, disaster strikes on the big day when Heather vanishes, leaving Matt alone at the altar. Encouraged by a sympathetic hotel clerk, Matt decides to go on the pre-booked honeymoon anyway. He soon finds himself swept into the lives of other travellers, eventually meeting a vibrant local named Gia (Nicole Grimaudo), who challenges him to embrace the beauty of Italy and find a second chance at love.

This romantic comedy was co-written by star Kevin James, who brings his trademark "lovable underdog" energy to the one of his best roles to date. Filmed entirely on location in Italy, the production captures the stunning vistas of Rome and the Italian countryside. Feted for its genuine heart and the strong romantic chemistry between James and Grimaudo, Solo Mio offers a refreshing, grounded take on the broken-hearted traveller trope.

In the summer of 2003, twelve-year-old Ben (Everett Blunck) arrives at a prestigious water polo camp, desperate to escape his reputation as a socially anxious outsider. To fit in, he aligns himself with a group of popular boys led by the callous Jake (Kayo Martin), participating in the bullying of a misfit named Eli (Kenny Rasmussen). When Ben secretly shows kindness to Eli, a rumour spreads that he has contracted "the plague"—a mythical fungal infection. As Ben discovers a real skin condition spreading across his own body, he is pushed to the fringes of the camp's ruthless hierarchy, forcing him to confront the high cost of social acceptance.

This psychological drama marks the impressive directorial debut of Charlie Polinger. Featuring Joel Edgerton as both a producer and the camp's hardened coach, the film premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival to an eleven-minute standing ovation. Critics have hailed it as a disquieting and unforgettable look at adolescent vulnerability, earning a near-perfect 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for its masterful tension and raw, authentic performances by its young cast.
