In 1932, twin brothers Smoke and Stack (both played by Michael B. Jordan) return to their Mississippi hometown after years of running with gangsters in Chicago. Deciding to use their amassed funds to open a juke joint, they set out to recruit a crew of blues musicians, including gifted young cousin Sammie (newcomer Miles Caton). But not all is as it seems at home: as the sun goes down, a coven of vampires led by the sinister Remmick (Jack O'Connell) descend on the venue and transform the club’s opening night into a fight for survival.
Director Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Creed) reunites with five-time collaborator Jordan for this rare original blockbuster which has been acclaimed for its unique blend of drama, music and horror that serves as a chilling metaphor for racial exploitation. Now nominated for a record-breaking 16 Oscars, including Best Picture, it is a visceral cinematic experience you won’t want to miss.
