Canberra born-and-bred director Jennifer Peedom (Sherpa, Mountain) is back with her latest documentary, this time exploring the limits of human endurance with Dr. Richard 'Harry' Harris on his quest to explore a new, previously unreachable section of New Zealand’s Pearse Resurgence cave system. Harris is, of course, no stranger to cave diving, being the Australian anaesthetist who became international renowned for his heroic efforts in the 2018 Tham Luang cave rescue in Thailand.
Deeper documents Harris and his team’s efforts achieve a highly ambitious and controversial breakthrough involving hydrogen gas that would allow divers to go further into caves than ever before. The film is intimate in its exploration of one man’s unbridled ambition, but also equally epic with its nail-biting and awe-inspiring footage of the world’s most inaccessible frontiers that demands to be seen on the big screen. Not to be missed.

After witnessing a fatal car accident, Ashley (Adria Arjona) admits to her husband, Carey (Michael Angelo Covino), that she has been unfaithful and asks for a divorce. Seeking support from two mutual friends – Julie (Dakota Johnson) and Paul (Kyle Marvin) – Carey is shocked to discover that their secret to happiness as a couple is having an open marriage. And when lines are crossed and boundaries blurred, it’s not long before the relationship between the two couples erupts into chaotic conflict.
An exploration of the messy and often hilarious consequences of modern relationships, Splitsville is written and directed by Covino, who also plays Carey in this anti-rom-com film. Not that he spares himself from the barrage of jokes, violence and uncomfortable truths which escalate as the characters navigate the complex world of divorce, open marriage, and betrayal among friends.
