In this coming of (old) age film, octogenarian Ruth (Kathleen Chalfant) is a former chef who is transitioning to life in an assisted living facility. Contending with a decline in her cognitive abilities, Ruth finds herself struggling to acclimatise to her new surroundings, often living in a state of delusion where she believes she is working in the care home rather than residing in it. Aided by her son and team of caregivers, Ruth soon finds a way to adapt to her unfamiliar constraints as well as the unexpected possibilities they can bring with grace, wit and the enduring threads of her identity.

A sincere and moving look at the importance of human connection in the face of losing oneself.
