In a 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic alternate reality, Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) comprise the superhero team known as The Fantastic Four. Operating from their base in New York’s Baxter Building, they balance their extraordinary abilities with their celebrity status while battling all manner of villainy. When team’s unique bond is threatened by a devastating cosmic entity known as Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic silver herald (Julia Garner), they must work together as a family to bring the planet back from the brink.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits the reset switch following two moderately-successful 00’s blockbusters and a widely derided 2015 flop. Of course, none of those earlier efforts had the benefit of being part of Marvel Studios’ sprawling, interconnected universe so you won’t want to miss the First Family making their highly-anticipated MCU debut ahead of a pair of gargantuan Avengers team-ups currently in production.
