Despite the chaos and destruction of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, three artists – Slava Leontyev, Anya Stasenko, and Andrey Stefanov – refuse to abandon their homes. Amidst daily shelling, they find solace and purpose in creating intricate porcelain figurines which capture their country’s idyllic past, uncertain present, and hope for the future. Armed with their tools, cameras – and, for the first time, guns – the trio defiantly find inspiration and beauty amidst the destruction.

Combining their art with deeply personal footage, Porcelain War showcases the unwavering spirit of the Ukrainian people, capturing how even art can become a form of resistance and hope in the face of unimaginable devastation.
