Oscar-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald (Marley, The Last King of Scotland) directs this intimate documentary chronicling the pivotal 18 months John Lennon and Yoko Ono spent living in Greenwich Village in the early 1970s.

The film delves into their creative output and political activism, including their absorption of American culture, musical endeavours, and resilience in the face of deportation threats. Its raw look into the couple’s storied lives meticulously interweaves stunning restored live footage with a treasure trove of personal archives, including phone calls, home movies and candid photographs. And the cherry on top: never-before-seen footage from Lennon’s "One to One" charity concert at Madison Square Garden in 1972 – his only full-length concert between the final Beatles performance and his untimely death.
