In 1914, Anglo-Irish polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton and his crew of 27 men were stranded in Antarctica after their ship, Endurance, became trapped in sea ice. With supplies dwindling, the expedition quickly found themselves fighting for their lives amidst extreme conditions in the most uninhabitable place on Earth.

More than a hundred years later, British-Australian adventurer Tim Jarvis sets out to recreate Shackleton’s journey in modern-day Antarctica, including by forgoing the luxury of modern equipment. As he takes audiences through the crew’s remarkable feat of survival – aided by words from Shackleton’s own journal – he reveals the enduring legacy of the expedition, which is perhaps more relevant to us now than ever before.

With stunning imagery that demands to be seen on the big screen, come and see why Shackleton’s story continues to inspire and thrill many years on.

On June 3, 2017, 26-year-old Reality Winner (Sydney Sweeney) arrives at her Georgia home to find a pair of FBI agents waiting at her door. As they present her with a warrant to search her house and car, she is invited to submit to “voluntary” questioning about her work as a translator working for a National Security Agency contractor. In the tense two hours that follow, she is interrogated about her involvement in the leaking of classified documents to the media which exposed Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. election.

Based verbatim on the FBI’s own transcript of the interrogation, director Tina Satter’s feature debut plays out in near-real-time like an unsettlingly slow-ticking time bomb. Stylistically minimalist, but no less enthralling, this is a stranger-than-fiction reflection of our precarious times – and a riveting showcase for rising star Sweeney (TV’s Euphoria, The White Lotus).
