Based on beloved 1960s children book series by Bernard Waber, this live action/CGI musical comedy follows the Primm family – son Josh (Winslow Fegley), mother Katie (Constance Wu) and father Joseph (Scoot McNairy) – who have just moved to New York City. While Josh initially has trouble adapting to his new surroundings, all of that changes when he discovers and befriends a singing, bath-loving Saltwater crocodile named Lyle (voiced by pop star Shawn Mendes) living in the attic of his new home. But when their grumpy neighbour (Brett Gelman) threatens Lyle’s existence, the Primms must band together with Lyle’s charismatic owner (Javier Bardem) to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places.

Featuring original songs from the songwriting team behind The Greatest Showman and La La Land, this feel-good family film might just be a new classic.

I Wanna Dance with Somebody charts the life and career of pop music legend Whitney Huston (played by English actress Naomi Ackie), from obscurity as a New Jersey choir girl to mega-stardom as one of the top recording artists of all time – as well as her tragically premature demise in 2012.

Directed by former actress Kasi Lemmons (whose previous film, Harriet, was a biopic of a different kind of icon), the film has been made with the cooperation of Huston’s family and former record producer Clive Davis (played in the film by the always-charismatic Stanley Tucci).

While the story of yet another artist destroyed by her own success is inevitably a sad subject, Huston’s hits have been incorporated so as to make the film a respectful and inspirational memorial to the trailblazing artist.
