After many death-defying and totally awesome adventures, Po the Dragon Warrior (Jack Black) is called upon by destiny to take up a lofty new role as a spiritual leader. Though doubtful of his suitability, he nevertheless sets out to quickly find and train a successor to take on the mantle of Dragon Warrior. But his quest is complicated by the arrival of a powerful, shapeshifting sorceress (Viola Davis) with a devious plan to conjure villains from Po’s past.

It's been eight long years since everyone's favourite animated panda graced cinema screens, but this fourth entry in the Kung Fu Panda series makes the wait well worth it. Alongside Viola Davis, new additions to the voice cast this time out include Awkwafina, Ke Huy Quan and ANU alumnus Ronny Chieng.

Jamie (Margaret Qualley) is an uninhibited free spirit, who is bemoaning yet another breakup with a girlfriend. Deciding that she needs a fresh start, she and her demure best friend, Marian (Geraldine Viswanathan), set off on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, Florida. But things quickly go awry when a case of mistaken identity involving a rental car and a mysterious briefcase puts them in the crosshairs of a group of inept criminals.

Drive-Away Dolls is solo directorial debut of Ethan Coen, half of the filmmaking duo behind films like Fargo and The Big Lebowski, so you could say he knows a thing or two about crime capers packed with colourful characters in absurd situations. And with a cast including Matt Damon, Pedro Pascal and Beanie Feldstein, the only thing to do is go along for the ride.
