In the not-too-distant future, the states of America are far from united after a second civil war has fractured the nation into two opposing factions. On one side is the American government, a dystopian dictatorship commanded by the President (Nick Offerman), and on the other are the so-called separatist Western Forces, led by Texas and California. In the midst of the rapidly escalating conflict, a team of journalists (played by Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura and more) attempt to travel to the nation’s capital on an assignment that could change the tide of the war.

British director Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Men) tries his hand at an action flick for his latest, delivering an allegorical, adrenaline-fuelled thrill ride. Although, given events happening in the world today, the premise of the film may no longer be that much of a stretch!
